La galerie Edition Limitée Paris

“ THIS GALLERY IS LIKE A SAMPLE BOX IN PROPORTION TO OUR CREATIONS.” FRÉDÉRIQUE CAILLET

 AN IDENTITY

In creating the Édition Limitée gallery in 1995, Frédérique Caillet was driven by both her passion for artistic publishing and her concern for the right object. It involves gathering together contemporary artists with the same affinity and endeavouring to reflect the universe of a personality and a career through Olivier Gagnère, Vincent Collin and Ettore Sottsass. In the space of 20 years, Édition Limitée has developed a brand, a signature, a style and a philosophy and today it is recognised across France and throughout the world, through specific models appearing in its catalogue or made to order...

 A UNIQUE SITE

In the fifties, at 7 rue Bréguet close to the Bastille in Paris, a curtain rail manufacturer bought up the ground floor of the building to store his products and hence be closer to his interior decorator clients. Nearly 60 years on, Frédérique Caillet moved to Rue Bréguet, into part of this old warehouse. She installed offices and studios in the gallery that she’d just created. With the passing years, part of it would be devoted to showcasing the Édition Limitée creations. As she likes to define it, “This site is like a sample box in proportion to our creations.”
